ABOUT THE AUTHOR: After more than thirty years working, writing and volunteering on behalf of New England’s early history, Patricia Quigley Wall has become a serious student of the region’s early African American history. Her first historical novel on that topic, CHILD OUT OF PLACE: A Story of New England (Fall Rose Books, 2004) awakened the interest of thousands of 4th and 5th graders and their teachers. And, unexpectedly, it found an enthusiastic readership among adults throughout this region and well beyond. Mrs. Wall grew up in Germantown, Pennsylvania and now lives in Kittery Point, Maine. |
